Built in the late 1800's, my studio is home to great history & memories. A childhood dream was realized when I opened my boutique style photography studio loft in this unique space filled with character. The space combined with our location in the quaint downtown area of Hudson, WI offers the capability for custom photography sessions indoors in addition to personalized on-location sites. My signature portrait style consists of simple,

yet strong composition resulting in images that are both honest and highly emotive. Foregoing stiff poses and forced smiles, I interact with subjects in such a way that unveils their distinct personalities. This approach combined with exquisite attention to detail provides for a comfortable and relaxed photo session and extraordinary images.

Expecting…

What a treat it was to photograph this gorgeous mama-to-be!  She and her husband are so excited to welcome their first baby into the world and it definitely came through in the photos.  I’m so excited for them and can’t wait to hear if they have a boy or girl.  Congratulations again, you guys!  You are going to be wonderful parents.

The boys…

The past few weeks have been filled with babies, babies and more babies!  I’ve had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family since they welcomed their first boy home.  When I found out they would be welcoming another baby boy into the family I couldn’t have been more excited for them.  As a mama of two boys myself, I know the joy this family will experience in the years ahead as they watch the brothers grow and develop that brotherly bond.  The mom of these precious duo wanted to be sure to get some shots of the proud papa with his two boys.  I have no doubt their dad will have the boys out playing football in no time at all!  Congratulations again, Jim and Christa.

Blessing…

This beautiful baby girl was recently welcomed home by a very loving and grateful family.  Shortly after she was born her parents noticed that she was turning blue and seemed to be having trouble breathing.  Luckily, the attentive staff at the hospital recognized something was definitely wrong and arranged for her to be taken to Children’s Hospital in St. Paul.  After undergoing a barrage of tests, the Dr.’s determined the incident was merely a “fluke” with no signs of any relapse or likelihood of relapse.  Needless to say, her parents ready to go home after a week’s stay at the hospital and her big brothers couldn’t have been more ready to meet their baby sister.  Cynthia, thanks again for having me out to photograph your precious baby girl!

Convention time…

I’ve been a bit behind with blogging lately (no worries to my clients…I’ll get caught up in no time)!  Things have been a bit hectic around here as I prepare for my trip to a big photographer’s convention in Las Vegas.  This is always a much anticipated trip for me as it serves as a great opportunity to meet up with some great friends I’ve made from around the world.  It also allows me to catch up on the latest happenings in the photography industry.   I was honored when the crew at MpixPro invited me to speak at the convention this year and I’m looking forward to the opportunity!  If you are a photographer planning to attend the convention, please stop by and say Hi!
