Built in the late 1800's, my studio is home to great history & memories. A childhood dream was realized when I opened my boutique style photography studio loft in this unique space filled with character. The space combined with our location in the quaint downtown area of Hudson, WI offers the capability for custom photography sessions indoors in addition to personalized on-location sites. My signature portrait style consists of simple,

yet strong composition resulting in images that are both honest and highly emotive. Foregoing stiff poses and forced smiles, I interact with subjects in such a way that unveils their distinct personalities. This approach combined with exquisite attention to detail provides for a comfortable and relaxed photo session and extraordinary images.

Everyday Moments

When this client approached me about capturing everyday moments with her family I couldn’t have been more excited for the project.  Her boys are at such fun ages and I can’t blame her one little bit for wanting to document this time in their lives.  My goal was to walk into their home and let moments unfold naturally and to capture the boys doing what they do on a daily basis.  That’s exactly what happened and below you’ll see how the day’s events unfolded.

I arrived and found Henry playing with his blocks:

When he realized he had an audience he excitedly starting stacking another set of blocks:

And, what goes up….must come down!

When I asked him what happened to his clothes, he climbed on the table and told me he was a big boy now (a.k.a. potty trained):

I was in the process of snapping a few portraits…

when suddenly he gave me “the look”.  As a mother of two boys, I know this look well.  So off we ran down the hall:

We made it just in time…WHEW!  He washed his hands (with soap) without an ounce of prompting from me!

Little brother was ready to get in on the action when his mom mentioned it was time for morning smoothies!

He was so excited about drinking out of a “big boy” glass!

His mom threw a little spinach in his smoothie and we waited patiently to see his response.

I think he liked it, but I’ll let you decide!

After snack time the boys looked through books…something they both love to do!

A little brother snuggle time:

When it was time for me to leave I asked Henry to help me find my shoes…he found them all right!
