The boys…

The past few weeks have been filled with babies, babies and more babies!  I’ve had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family since they welcomed their first boy home.  When I found out they would be welcoming another baby boy into the family I couldn’t have been more excited for them.  As a mama of two boys myself, I know the joy this family will experience in the years ahead as they watch the brothers grow and develop that brotherly bond.  The mom of these precious duo wanted to be sure to get some shots of the proud papa with his two boys.  I have no doubt their dad will have the boys out playing football in no time at all!  Congratulations again, Jim and Christa.

Blessing…

This beautiful baby girl was recently welcomed home by a very loving and grateful family.  Shortly after she was born her parents noticed that she was turning blue and seemed to be having trouble breathing.  Luckily, the attentive staff at the hospital recognized something was definitely wrong and arranged for her to be taken to Children’s Hospital in St. Paul.  After undergoing a barrage of tests, the Dr.’s determined the incident was merely a “fluke” with no signs of any relapse or likelihood of relapse.  Needless to say, her parents ready to go home after a week’s stay at the hospital and her big brothers couldn’t have been more ready to meet their baby sister.  Cynthia, thanks again for having me out to photograph your precious baby girl!

Convention time…

I’ve been a bit behind with blogging lately (no worries to my clients…I’ll get caught up in no time)!  Things have been a bit hectic around here as I prepare for my trip to a big photographer’s convention in Las Vegas.  This is always a much anticipated trip for me as it serves as a great opportunity to meet up with some great friends I’ve made from around the world.  It also allows me to catch up on the latest happenings in the photography industry.   I was honored when the crew at MpixPro invited me to speak at the convention this year and I’m looking forward to the opportunity!  If you are a photographer planning to attend the convention, please stop by and say Hi!

Tervetuloa (that’s “Welcome” in Finnish)…

Johanna and Antti recently welcomed a precious baby boy into the world and what a delight it was to work with them. This beautiful couple is from Finland but recently moved to the U.S. for Antti’s job.  When I arrived at their home for the shoot I was greeted by Johanna’s mom who had flown all the way from Finland to meet the newest addition to the family.  Despite the language barrier, there was no denying the love she had for her grandson.  I can’t imagine how hard it was for her to return to Finland leaving both her daughter and grandbaby behind.  Luckily, Johanna and Antti will return to Finland during the off-season which will give grandma plenty of time to love on that sweet baby boy!

Antti, we wish you the very best at the 2010 Olympics.  Congratulations!!

Happy Little Soul…

This happy little soul came out to the studio for his one year photo session and I couldn’t have asked for a more cooperative subject. His mom, Jennifer, and I always have great conversations which makes working with them extra special!  She is such a fantastic mom who inspires me at each and every photo session. I feel so blessed to have such awesome clients!

Video Launch…

Here is the video from the ad campaign I mentioned in my last blog entry.  This was such a fun project to be involved with! Enjoy!

Sheer Addiction: Part II

A few weeks ago I posted about a commercial project I’m working on for  Sheer Addiction, an incredible jewelry line produced locally in the Twin Cities area.  We just wrapped up the video portion of the ad campaign and I just have to tell you…this particular project was truly a dream come true for me.  I’ve always wanted to be a part of a project like this and the experience was everything I imagined it would be.  Here are a few still shots from our shoot…the video portion is scheduled to arrive any day.  Stay tuned!!

Welcome, baby…

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the newest addition to the Lund family…a beautiful baby girl.  She has three older siblings that absolutely adore her, especially the oldest one who is so very grateful to finally have a sister!  Thanks again, Jennifer, for having me out to photograph your family.  You have such an amazing eye for design and I loved having such a gorgeous nursery to work in while I was there.

A new year…

It only seems fitting to kick the new year off with a blog post featuring a brand new baby.  Beautiful baby Cleo was welcomed home by her loving family just a few weeks before Christmas.  Her mama shares my love for all things paper so I was thrilled when she enlisted my help with the birth announcements.  What a fun project this was for me to work on…I loved every minute of it!  Thanks again, Darcy!

All I Want for Christmas…

…is my two front teeth teeth!  That’s the first thing that came to mind when I arrived to photograph the Nolan family for their annual Christmas shoot.  Their daughter just lost her second front tooth and she loved the idea of asking Santa to bring her two new ones!  These kiddos are always such a treat to photograph and as you can see they aren’t camera shy in the least.  Thank you again, Diana, for having me out to work with the kids!  Have a great Christmas!
