…and a little bit rock-n-roll. That pretty much sums up this session with Kerstin, a beautiful Hudson High School senior. Her gorgeous red hair combined with her awesome sense of style made for a very fun photo session. After a few shots around town we headed out to her farm where I got to meet her horse and watch the two of them in action. I have to give credit to Kerstin for toughing it out in the COLD weather in her sundress…she was a champ to say the least!
I am so far behind on blogging but wanted to take a moment to share some images of Miss Mackenzie, a beautiful high school senior from Creighton-Durham Hall. She is passionate about swimming and best of all…shopping! I loved all of her clothes (and jewelry)!! Mackenzie, I really enjoyed our time together. Yet another senior and no, I will never tire of them. Meet Anna, a beautiful senior from Stillwater high school, who witnessed first hand the lengths I will go to in order to get to “the” perfect location. Ha! We made it out alive and we had not one run-in with a deer. Whew! Not only is Anna gorgeous and sweet, but she is also the daughter of an incredibely talented artist, Carl Erickson, of North Main Studio. His work is beautiful…it’s no wonder one of his pieces landed at the Smithsonian. Anna, thanks again for coming out to the studio. I had a great time chatting (and hiking) with you. Ha!
I know if my uber-talented, opera-singing brother-in-law happens to stop by my blog he just did a double-take at the title of this post. Yes Sam, you are reading that right (cool name, eh?!). Meet Aria, a beautiful soon-to-be senior at Stillwater High School, who was an absolute natural in front of the camera. Her passion for books, music, swimming and academics was nothing short of inspiring. It was a pleasure working with you Aria and I wish you the best as you head into your final year of high school. Go Ponies!
Meet Miss Amanda, a soon-to-be high school senior whose shy disposition was quickly peeled away as she and I dove into a random conversation about just about everything. There are so many levels to this beautiful young woman and I had such a great time working with her. She belongs to a wonderful and loving family who all feel so very lucky to have her.
Imagine my delight when I received a call from a client who wanted me to photograph a group of kids headed off to the Stillwater High School prom! I could hardly wait to see these kids dressed up and ready to celebrate the end of the school year. The girls looked absolutely stunning and oh, so classy. It was fun watching all the kids head off in what I heard one kid refer to as the “souped up limo bus”. (He wasn’t joking!)
Meet the beautiful Miss Hannah! She has an amazing sense of style and such a sweet, sweet demeanor. What a joy she was to photograph…especially in the studio where I’ve been hard at work gathering new treasures for the upcoming 2009 senior photography season which is just around the corner here in the Minneapolis area. I love it when clients walk into the studio and exude nothing but happiness. That was definitely the case with Miss Courtney, a Minneapolis high school senior. This aspiring actress/singer not only has a bubbly personality, she also has ambition galore. A great combination if you ask me! With graduation just a few short months ahead, I believe Courtney is more than ready to hit the real world!

Anyone who knows me will tell you that the shoot I’m about to showcase was right up my alley. Lots of fun clothes, a beautiful boutique, a beautiful subject…who could ask for anything more?! Miss Lindsey lives and works in L.A. and was in need of a few shots for her portfolio. Needless to say, we ended up with more than a few shots, but I simply couldn’t resist.
