Here’s looking at you, kid…

There are those who simply delight being in front of the camera.  This little girl is one of them!  She stepped up on her “stage” and put on the performance of a lifetime.  Take a look at how she responded when her brother wanted in on the action.  (See 4th image)  Ha!  Could she be an Academy Award-winning actress in the making?!  You tell me.

The image that earned the “title”:

Not only can she dance…

but she can pose as well! Yes, folks…she came up with this all on her own:

And then there’s “the look”:

Then it was her brothers turn…

Even though he took her spotlight for a moment, secretly she still thinks he is the best big brother in the world.

Nostalgic…

I’m not sure what it was about this beautiful little girl but I was struck with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia during her session. Maybe it was her Jackie O.-inspired sunglasses or the blanket her Great-Grandma made for her?  At any rate, she definitely had the look of a child from the days gone by and what a joy it was to have an opportunity to photograph her.

Belly Laugh | Hudson, Wisconsin children’s photographer

Some of you might remember this little girl from a family session I posted last fall.   Well…she just celebrated her birthday so we met again to document her at the busy age of 3.   It was raining and freezing cold that day so we ended up at the loft where she made herself right at home.  Throughout most of the session she kept looking over at the bag her mom brought along as though there might be something very important hidden within.  After a while, I asked her what was in there and without missing a beat she ran over to the bag and pulled out a hat.  She sat down, put on her hat and broke out into an honest to goodness belly laugh.  She was so excited about her little green hat.  So fun!
